The T-Rex is done!         The Sauropod is next.

T-Rex

Yes, it's true! I finished the T-Rex. After months of work, and numerous tubes of Super-Glue, the Tyrannosaurus is done. Here is a shot taken quickly so you can see how it looks. There are also a few in-progress shots taken during construction (below).

I had a great PARTY to debut the T-Rex . Let me know what you think!

Sauropod

The Saurpod project looms large, after a long wait, now that I have collected another near-complete set of turkey bones at a previous Thanksgiving. Right! I am planning a larger scale model this time by working with turkey bones instead of chicken. The result should be several feet long.

The motivation for the Sauropod comes from two main sources. The first is the book "The Lost Dinosaurs of Egypt" by W. Nothdurft and Josh Smith, about the discovery of Paralititan stromeri. Second is "Seismosaurus The Earth Shaker" by David Gillette about Seismosaurus hallorum. I am using Chris McGowan's book "Make Your Own Dinosaur out of Chicken Bones", but he told me in email that turkey bones should work fine.

Come back to this site in the near future when I hope to have notes and photos of progress.
